Mediation is a conflict resolution process used formally at courthouses and also in workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, and with families. It can be an effective way to address disagreements, improve communication, and learn to appreciate different points of view.

The trainers have prepared over 3000 mediators at dozens of organizations to handle multicultural disputes. They are excited to work with the Vital Village Network’s second class of SJMI trainees so they can infuse the Village with peace and justice-building skills that can reach far beyond the class itself and help us make the changes we want to see in our culture.
